Fresh Fruit Smoothie
One of my personal favorites that should be on everyone’s dieting meal plan. Pick out any fresh fruit like bananas, passion fruit, papaya, apples, pears, berries and just about anything. Throw them into a blender with some low fat or soy milk. You can add some ice cubes to really bring out the punch in the drink. Variations could include nuts. This makes for a great post workout snack.
Vegetable Juice
All you need is a whole lot of fresh seasoned vegetables and throw them in a juicer. Now for green leafy vegetables, the greener they are, the more healthy the vegetable. Despite the smell and taste, this is one of the healthiest meals out there. This could also replace your meal. Here is a suggestion: wash your vegetables the night before or some time before you decide to juice them and leave them to drip dry. Apple and Spinach Salad
What you need is 2 tablespoons each of fresh lime and orange juice, 2 teaspoons each of Dijon mustard and honey, half a cup of freshly chopped red onion, 8 cups (8 ounces) of fresh baby spinach, 1 large cored and thinly sliced apple and a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Place in a small bowl, the juices, honey, mustard, salt and pepper. Whisk these ingredients together. You can now put the onions and spinach in a bigger bowl with the apple slices. Do Not Miss Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse Restaurant With the Best Glenwood Springs Fresh Fish
After having eaten at Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse restaurant time and time again, my wife convinced me to write my opinions for what has become my favorite place to eat.
My job necessitates a drive between Grand Junction and Denver at least once a week. I hit various clients along the way – mainly in the Roaring Fork Valley. Most mornings I leave Grand Junction by 6 am and drive a couple hours up to Aspen, where I begin my calls until I arrive in Glenwood Springs – usually close to lunch time.
Some of their Fresh Fish Offerings:
- mussels
- oysters
- tuna
- crab
- king crab
All my life I drifted toward big, countrywide chain restaurants because while they may not be great, they are consistent. That’s a pretty good method in most parts of the country, and after lunches at some local restaurants I stuck by that maxim. I love new and different things as much as anyone, but I was rather let down. Eventually I decided to ask a few Glenwood Springs residents what local restaurants were the best. Not surprisingly, I received many different opinions but one common theme was Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse.
The locals invariably praised Juicy Lucy’s, and frankly, after finding the place I immediately felt excited. By immediately I suggest I was delighted even in the parking lot. Juicy Lucy’s is located right in the middle of the hopping Glenwood Springs downtown area and only a short walk from the immense Glenwood Hot Springs pool. It is set amidst all kinds of cool shops and interesting architecture. Juicy Lucy’s itself is inside in a building that was constructed during the town’s heyday as a spa destination, enhancing the historic charm. Once inside, I was impressed with the casual yet efficient atmosphere. The warm restaurant was a bustle of activity even at lunch, but the staff was friendly and attentive, and we got a seat quickly.
As a matter of fact, I have been there dozens of times and I have never waited over 15 minutes to be seated – even on the few times I hit the place for supper on the way back to Grand Junction. Once at a table, the food has never disappointed. I have sampled everything from their great appetizer menu to their wonderful steaks and have always loved it. Juicy Lucy’s has an extensive wine selection – from the best domestics to pricey but impeccable imports.
They have recently undergone a remodel and expansion, and the place looks better than ever. Despite dozens of visits, I still stop at Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse restaurant every time I eat in Glenwood Springs.

I have been a chocolate lover since then and one thing that I actually like about them is how they can be built from one figure to another. I recollect that when I was younger, I would like chocolates with better designs than the plain ones. That’s the reason why chocolatiers always try to recreate their works to not only fit the flavor of their customers, but also fit to their physical preferences. Chocolatiers actually have an entertaining way of making their chocolates not only mouth watering, but also appealing to see. But not everybody can make an artisan chocolate. It takes one to be artistically talented in order to make a delectably-looking dark chocolate.
When I finally got a hold of an artisan chocolate for the 1st time, I was thinking twice about eating it as it looks too stunning and it makes me feel guilty of consuming it so simply when it requires a lot of hard work and real talent to finish a little bit of it. But when finally I got the courage to melt it inside my mouth, I couldn’t stop itching for more! Artisan chocolates are splendid inside and outside!
If I’m to compare the common chocolates found on supermarket shelves to workman chocolates, I’ll really say that workman chocolates are way better than the common ones. As you can see, each workman chocolate is fastidiously crafted by hand simply to taste and look the way that it is ; meaning lots of tough work is put together solely to finish one single bar. Each single chocolatiers create different master pieces, mixing different combos to try out different flavors. And mind you, these chocolatiers create “limited edition” workman chocolates, which mean that when their products are all consumed, then that’s it. Artisan chocolate is the complete opposite of the machine mass produced chocolates, and with this I’ll really appreciate artisans who vigilantly hand made each bars.
Not only that workman chocolatiers create wonderful pieces of humanities out of chocolates, but also create tasty and mouth-watering pieces at the same time. I could never explain how yummy these works are! The one thing that bothers me about workman chocolates is how they’re so difficult to create yet so easy to consume! I’m looking forward to the day I’d learn the way to make one of those in order that I can eat a lot without feeling guilty.
